A field of 53 golfers competed in the Cleve Golf Club Open on Sunday. The day was proudly sponsored by Pringles Crouch. Competitors from Port Lincoln, Cummins, Lock, Coffins Bay, Tumby Bay, Kyancutta, Kimba, Darke Peak and Port Neill enjoyed the ideal playing conditions. The course had a light cover of grass and weather conditions were ideal, a fine sunny winters day with minimal breeze to disrupt the players swing.
In a tight competiton Mark Chapman shot an even par 72 to take out the championship. The C-grade was decided by a play-off after nineteen holes.
